Awards and Recognitions
Ryan, Maggie and Gary were nominees for the 2013 Russ Berrie Award for Making a Differnce as unsung heros of the community.
Ryan serves as the Executive Director of the Friends of Colin and oversees all operations. As Executive Director Ryan works towards establishing relationships, finding large donations, and managing events and finances. Ryan is also the founder and sees that the mission statement is upheld throughout all Friends of Colin business.
Ryan is a graduate of St. Peter's Prep, where he was the cross country and track captain. Ryan now attends Fordham University where he is a finance major and economics minor. Aside from running, Ryan is an Eagle Scout and member of various clubs.
"The Friends of Colin is more than raising money for cancer research. It is honoring the legacy of a friend whose influence on us was cut short by cancer."
Ryan was featured in Boys Life Magazine by the Boy Scouts of America for his work in funding a cure for Ewing's Sarcoma.

Gary serves as Associate Director of The Friends of Colin and specializes in media and communication. He manages both media communication and media production. He has created productions in the form of videos for past Friends of Colin events that have been featured on TV 35. These can be found on the Friends of Colin Facebook page and on Youtube. Gary is also responsible for writing press releases and news articles to help raise awareness for the Friends of Colin and its events.
Gary graduated from Cranford High School where he was in the University Program. He was vice-president of the National Honor Society but also attended various other clubs. Gary attends Duke University and studies in the pre-med tract. In addition, he is a member of the Volunteer First Aid Squad and tutors children in multiple academic subjects. He also enjoys playing tennis and trumpet.

Maggie serves as Associate Director of The Friends of Colin and specializes in community relationships. This includes finding volunteers for our events and soliciting donations from some of the small businesses in town.
Maggie graduated from Cranford High School where she was captain of the varsity softball team. Maggie is currently a sophomore at Loyola University in Baltimore, Maryland and is majoring in Business with a concentration in Management and International Business.
